Hate to burst your bubble....it's GSM so it will NOT be carried by verizon or nextel....Possibly by AT&T, Cingular or T-mobile.....as they are the 3 GSM providers in the US

Verizon carries flea market phones! Kyocera? Audovox? Its to expensive to make phones for Verizon's CDMA technology as the builders HAVE ti use Qualcom chips and pay more for the privilege,

Thats why GSM carriers have better phone choices from the majors. Audiovox and Kyocera only make phones for Verizon and Sprint because no GSM carrier NEEDS their brands. I would think Verizon is subsidizing the cost for a major (Nokia, Motorola, Sony) to come out with a fully featured product for the CDMA market.

PTT is on the way and is not the reason GSM users buy those phones. Can you say BT? Verizon does not even have a BT phone after years of availability!!

Push to talk on GSM will more than likely be available by the end of the year. And once that happens bye bye to everyone else... Also where are CDMA Carriers going in the future?? CDMA 1X?? EV-DO??? UMTS has already been launched in test markets in the United States... The way it is is that GSM/UMTS will be the only system available to worldwide users by 2008. GSM already has 1 billion + users worldwide...and still going strong.

"Yet" is correct. And who would want to use VZW's PTT? It's worthless... Cingular will be launching PTT before year's end and have some of these phones available.

Now now, Cain. Verizon PTT isn't worthless. But it's definitely not great, is it?

Yes, I am ONEHUNDRED MILLION PERCENT POSITIVE. The feature is already listed in the billing systems. Expect something like... "Cingular and ATTWS have merged their large networks. And NOW you can join THE Nation's LARGEST NETWORK, now featuring PTT!"... I'll let you come up with your own version of the commercial.... I call it my "We JUST WHOOPED THAT A$$" Plan. hehehe.

By "that a$$" you mean Verizon right?;) heh heh

Thanx. I can now ALSO confirm it. My Cingular rep came by a few days ago and he confirmed my suspicions. Thanx anyways.

😡 Yall must can't read, because the phone is a GSM phone! Verizon and Nextel do not support GSM!! 😲 Only Cingular, T-Mobile USA, and AT&T support GSM! Read carefully before you post your comments!!
