Finally, high quality pictures from a camera phone.

Believe it or not, Sharp camera phones have outstanding image quality. Hopefully, this will raise the bar and other manufacturers will take notice that we don't just want higher image resolution (just bigger crappy pictures), but really high quality pictures from a camera phone.

Um excuse me if im wrong, but dosnt higher resolution go hand in hand with better quality ? LOL. The higher the resolution usualy means a smaller picture not a bigger picture.

Higher the resolution should be bigger picture, not smaller. But higher the resolution the better the picture quality is suppose to be.

Actually, higher resolution does mean larger picture. And no, larger picture doesn't necessarily mean better quality. Take the Motorola line up. V600 has VGA resolution camera, V710 has 1.2 MP camera. The picture quality is not improved at all (obviously subjective, but c'mon, the pictures from the V710 suck). They are simply larger.

The implied difference in quality between the lower res and higher res is if you scale the low res picture to the size of the hi res, the hi res will be better because it captures all the pixels natively, while the low res would have to interpolate to scale to the bigger size.

Picture quality has more to do with the image sensor and lens quality. In the case of this Sharp phone, it uses a CCD imag...

Check out Rich's comments in the User Reviews tab about the camera. No doubt, the best camera on a camerphone you'll find today. Too bad the rest of the phone has some shortcommings.

You should get a card reader for the photo files. For some reason Sharp didnt make it to where you could get the files off the card with the cable, only off the handset memory, which could take hours to transfer all the card data onto the handset to load onto your computer.

My computer sais it's an invalid file extension. (.icn) Anyone have any problems getting the video to run after copying it to a computer?
