External Caller ID

Okay, LOVE this phone, but having a problem with the external caller ID. It is supposed to have picture caller ID on the exterior, but my picture doesn't show up until after the call goes to voicemail. Does anyone know if there's something I need to do to make this work properly? I tried calling T-Mobile, who told me to call Sharp, who told me they do not handle support for this phone & that I should call T-Mobile. T-Mobile had no idea that it even HAD an external caller ID, so they're useless in this area.
PLEASE HELP!

Other than that....great phone!

Oh, and by the way, I tried switching phones at the T-Mobile store & the new phone did the same thing. So apparently, it wasn't just my phone.

I know how to make the external display happen.
It took me about a week to figure it out, but I did... Follow these steps.... 😁 😁 😁

1. Make sure the persons info is saved on the handset not the sim.

2. Take pic of person (Make sure you have kind of a distance between you and the person. You will see what I mean.)

3. save pic to my pics not the sd card

4. go to the saved pic in the my pics.

5. Hit options and go to Adjust size the hit external display.

6. There should be a rectangle Ha come up.. just big enough for the external display.(This is where the distance comes to play)

7. Put the face of the person in the rectangle. press the ok button the press the save button.. The pic will save on the my pics.

8. Go...

My problem isn't that I can't get it to work. The picture does come up. It just doesn't show up until after the call goes to my voicemail. You shouldn't have to resize it. It should work as long as the pic is less than 150 kb. I have a pic attached to my home number that is of my family. The pic is 130kb. The entire pic comes up on the external caller id, but it's delayed or something. It shows up just before the call goes to voicemail. In other words, the phone will ring about 5-6 times before the picture is displayed.
Some of my pics are only 30kb & they do the same thing.
Are you saying that if I resize it, it will appear before it goes to voicemail?

I resized all of my pic and they pop up as soon as the person calls..... give it a try.... if it doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you.... most of my pics are about 4 and 5kb and they pop up just fine....

good luck

Okay, I adjusted the pics & you are correct! Sorry if I sounded like a smart a$$ in my post. 🤭 I didn't mean to come across that way. I just figured if the entire picture was coming up after it went to voicemail that it should come up before as well. But, apparently, I was mistaken. Which really doesn't surprise me at all since I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing! 🤣

Thanks for the help! 😁
