Unfortuantely, I'm not allowed to post any additional info regarding this phone, but I have owned it for over a year now, and I stand by it 100 percent. Also, I did a much more in depth product review on the XV6600 on cnet under the name nerdydaddy if anyone is interested in more help regarding this phone and additional accessories, plus I also included the link for the latest ROM upgrade, which removes cheif complaints by people regarding terrible ringer volume, poor Bluetooth quality, and most of all, you gain the much sought after Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, all for free. There are a few other small noteworthy additions with the upgrade, like finally seperating the connectivity and phone indicators, but other than that they are just s...

Please also pass the word along to whoever you know that has this phone: there IS a speakerphone. Just as described in the owner's manual, hold down the LIGHTED GREEN talk button (the one one the bottom left face of the phone with a phone emblem) when placing a call for a couple seconds, and it will activate. That's all there is to it, it's plenty loud enough, and I use it all the time.

Much sought after Windoze Media Player 10?

I don't think so. It's actually a downgrade as Media Player 9 allows you to create, edit, and organize Playlists on the phone. Media Player 10 REQUIRES you to manage playlists ONLY on your PC then copy them to the phone. A Microsoft f**kup to be sure.

Refurbished replacements being supplied by Verizon do not have this ROM upgrade and mine works just fine without it, bluetooth and all.

And oh yes, the ringer is plenty loud enough using my own downloaded WAV files.

Downloaded? I have instructions that I have detailed and created myself to make ANY sound or ringer you would like for this particular phone for FREE and never have to spend a dime on a single download. Using any sound file or pre-recorded audio CD, you can create sounds far more better in quality than anything you could EVER download. Pus, it would be customized to EXACTLY how YOU want it to be.

I'm certain that yours does work well without the ROM update, as did mine before I updated the ROM on BOTH XV6600's that I own, but there is notable improvement to anyone who is serious about theirs and would like the FREE upgrade. As for Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, you can play MP3's now, which couldn't be done on Windows Media Player 9 Mobile. And with managing your playlists, the automated search for compatible files to me is actually more convenient, and this version also supports display of album cover art provided that you sync it with either Windows Media Player 10 or even 11 Beta 2 on your PC. All in all, I noticed improvement on bluetooth, it actually gets better range without static than it did before. Also, the included ringer...
