htc harrier battrey changeing problems

hi
i have recently brought a second battery for my htc harrier but when changing the battery even when the internal back up battery is full it does a full reset of the phone. ne 1 knew how to fix it?

also i noticed it had an external aerial connector and was wondering if any 1 new where i could a compatible aerial?

I assume you're talking about a hard reset rather than a soft reset. A hard reset can happen if you accidentally press the power button while switching batteries. I did this once - very painful.

If you're talking about a soft reset - yes, that will happen every time you switch batteries, regardless of the battery backup. The backup is just there to maintain your data, it will not keep your applications running.

I would recommend shutting down all applications before switching batteries to prevent possible data loss from open applications (start/settings/system/memory/running programs/stop all).
