so you like your xv 6600 but i bet you would like xv 6700 better

seems like that verizon didn't waste a lot of time working w/ audiovox on the updated version of xv 6600. info is pretty hazy but as far as i know and this is not confirmed new one is going to be xv 6700

i have 2 pics which are pretty crappy but looks like keyboard is going to be pretty big running the lenght of the phone so when keyboard is out phone is going to be in landscape mode. if you would like the pix IM me or shoot me an email.

looks like samsung I730 is about to get pretty good competitor as long as bugs from 6600 are taken care of.

anybody w/ any additional info please post

OK, so I decided to e-mail support for Verizon inquiring about Windows Mobile 5.0 phones being available by 12/05, and this was their response. Not that I expected a straight answer, but the second the XV-6700 hits shelves, I plan on buying it. Any insider info on the XV-6700(a.k.a. Apache) for Verizon would be greatly appreciated. I loved the "if/when" aspect of their reply.

Response from Verizon:

Typical 'CANNED' answer, issued by lackies. That's all you ever get when you write Verizon. And once you write them back for 'further questions and concerns', you'll get more of the same 'we don't know nuttin' BS on a more personal level.
