Hi am looking for ANY HELPFUL hints on how to produce a louder ringer. Have checked out all the tones and found nothing to help assist me. Am coming from an LG which is the loudest phone around to this Audiovox 6600. Big difference in volume. Need a quick fix before my 15 trial period is up! PLEASE PLEASE HELP! 😢

at this time, the best solution is to use a sound file that was recorded at a high recording level. To see what I mean, open your notes and listen to the recorded messages you have saved. Hold your stylus on the loudest one until the window appears with SET AS RINGTONE choice. Select it and try this. You can then record something more fun or interesting or even grab a sound file from your pc or the net. Set the new 'louder' file as your ringtone and hope that will work better. You may be able to find a sound file used by your old LG phone or just record someone elses. Good luck. Hopefully Audiovox will update the software to make the speaker louder for all functions

Well here is a way to get Loud ringtones. I just got my phone and i figured out how to make very loud ringtones. Im sure you can use other software b but i use SONY sound forge7.0 (its an audio/video editor). I use this to cut my music up ( i make them about 39 secs). After cutting the song this software has a feature that allowas u to increase the actual Preset volume of the song (by increasing the wave lenthgs or something like that). But be carefull if you make it too loud you wont even be able to hear any of the words. Then i save the file as Windows WAV file, then i just drop the new file into the windows\rings folder in the Pocket pc ( while its on the cradle). These songs will play louder than your songs play at full volume when play...

If you go to www.mbuzzy.com and download thier goldwave program that they give thier subsribers to make ringtones with you can input any mp3 file and convert it to just about any format.. I put mine to WMA and my phone will let me save that as a ringtone. You can increase the volume of the file to make it play louder, or you can make it play faster/slower. You can 100% manipulate the file to do what you want. My ringers are More than mp3 quality, sound crisp and loud and make other mobile users jealous because I make my own perfect ringtones. Some phones only let you save like 30 sec. of media to use as a ringtone but with this program you can save the entire song as the ringtone. It's pretty much awesome... Hope this helps. DL
