The PPC-6600 does not COME with voice dial. However, you can purchase "Voice Command" for Pocket PCs for about $29. I have "Voice Command" loaded on my Toshiba Tablet PC, but not yet on my '6600 - It does work great on my TTPC! I have heard from website forums that "Voice Command" works GREAT on their '6600.
Yes, you would think with the initial expense, that it would come with it - no one has really batted a thousand in this market, but the '6600 comes pretty close.

At this time, I'm unable to comment on "Bluetooth" headsets because of the fact that mine hasn't arrived yet AND I'm a "Newbie" @ Bluetooth implementation.
I've ordered Sprint's Bluetooth BlueVoice w/ retractable boom (brought to Sprint by BodyGlove). Very nice looking headset (Won CES Design award for '04) I figured if it doesn't work, I'll return it and try something else.

I have the Moto HS850 and Voice Command.

You cannot initiate a call from the Moto HS850 (or any other bluetooth) on the 6600. You must press the designated "Voice Command" button on the 6600 to iniate a voice dial. You must also talk into the 6600 mic to give all commands.

Once the call is made, it will automatically active the headset, if you have the "always headset when available" option checked, and have the headset active.

Voice Command is made by Microsoft, and it ROCKS!!.
This does WAY More than just voice dial.
Too much to even try to explain here.

No training required. Just works immediately after install.

There is a Demo Video you can watch on the Microsoft Site.

Voice Command is made by Microsoft. I got it for $30 from newegg.com and it's working fine. Be sure to get the update from the MS website. Sorry Bluetooth users, but BT headsets are not compatible with Voice Command. Only the wired headset is going to work. Voice Command has added some pretty useful functionality to my 6600.

- I can press one button (programmable) and then say, "Call John Doe" and it calls John. Or, if I have multiple numbers for John it asks me which one I want to dial. I reply back verbally and it dials.

- I can say, "Dial 5551234" and it dials.

- It tells me who's calling. If I have a contact associated to the number then it tells me the name. If not, then it tells me the number.

- It reads my Calenda...

😎 Microsoft Voice Command works well but not perfectly with this phone.

There is some incomplete compatibility with bluetooth headphones and hands free car kits. Voice Command will not respond to your commands through the bluetooth device. You can only hear the response directly from the phone. However, your spoken commands will be heard through the bluetooth microphone, sometimes better than from the phone itself.

There are also some problems with the microphone not hearing well and having to repeat commands. Background noise can be a problem.

All in all however Voice Command is a rather remarkable program. I have about 400 or more contacts in my Outlook contact folder. Voice command is generally able to find the right conta...
