The Sidekick II is pretty cool. I have it and I love being able to check my Yahoo, and Hotmail on the go. Before you buy you should know that you can only have 10 downloaded ring-tones, and they have to be purchased at $1.99 a ring-tone. That is one feature that bummed me out.
People have said that the Operating System on it runs slow, and it does when you first start it because every time you start it it has to download the Catalog Contents, your emails (if you Have any), pictures, and a few other things. After that finishes it runs very well.
I am not sure if the Sidekick III will let you use your own ring-tones or not, but I think if it doesn't not many people will buy it. Also keep in mind if you get the Sidekick buy a screen protector.
