Danger Hiptop 2 / Sidekick II

I suppose I could find the answer myself, as I work for T-Mobile, but if anyone would be so kind as to share their real world experience with the sidekickII?? I am very familiar with our devices and services, however I am at a loss. Our actualy customers get the luxury of a buyers remorse period, we don't. I am strongly considering buying a sidekickII however, 2 things I am weary of:
1. I know hiptop translates html into javascript when decoding web pages displayed on the device, which is part of what makes it so neat. However, it doesnt support java. Is there any after market update, or fix for this I may not know about?
2. I have to be pretty selective on what I do get. I live out towards a more rural area, and coverage is OK at my ...
