Signal quality?
omniSep 26, 2004, 3:57 PM
Any current owners have a comparison on signal quality?
I currently have T-Mobile and an Sony Ericsson t68i, and I get TERRIBLE signal quality at home -- rolling in and out of service all while standing still.
I'd like to think it was just the phone... đ

I HAVE THS SAME PROBLEM, NO SERVUICE IN MY HOUSE, JUST WHEN I GO OUTSIDE MY FRONT DOOR. MY OTHER PHONE IS VERIZON WIRELESS & SERVICE IS GREAT AT HOME
...
Also, I have t-mobile. My signal quality is perfect in my apartment away at college and it is perfect back at home in my house. Don't know why you all are having trouble. âšī¸

That's why I'm thinking it may be the phone. From reviews, my t68i is terrible in the reception department.
Reviews of the Sidekick II seem to only say, 'Well, it's better than the previous Sidekick', which really doesn't tell me much. đ
Guess I'll have to talk the local T-Mobile people into a trial, or else I'm cutting them loose. I'm gettin' tired of paying for service (out of my contract now, too) that doesn't give me reception in my own home.

Yeh I dont blame you. Do what you gotta do!!! If it calls for dropping T-Mobile do it. It all business anyway.

We have the SK2 and SK-Color at our house. Reception with both is very poor (the signal strength goes in and out while standing perfectly still). Awful reception even outdoors. T-Mobile's customer service claims my neighborhood here in Waukegan, Illinois has "one notch below the very best reception", yet all I can ever get here is one bar at best. Thank God these are not our primary phones.

Forgot to mention above I always had wonderful reception with my prehistoric Primeco Audiovox even after the carrier became U.S. Cellular.
Sometimes I regret giving up that old phone.

Man Primco sold out to Verizon wireless I no because I had Them when they switched. My phone broke and they told me they didn't carry Primco Phones and that i had to buy a NEW VERIZON PHONE. just letting you no nothing personal.
...
actually, verizon and us cellular bought out portions of prime co. Thats why both of you think that way. lol
...
If you go to the home page of this site and click on both carriers you will see they both bought Prime Co markets.Us Cellular purchased most of it though.
