Signal quality?

Any current owners have a comparison on signal quality?

I currently have T-Mobile and an Sony Ericsson t68i, and I get TERRIBLE signal quality at home -- rolling in and out of service all while standing still.

I'd like to think it was just the phone... 😕

Also, I have t-mobile. My signal quality is perfect in my apartment away at college and it is perfect back at home in my house. Don't know why you all are having trouble. ☚ī¸

That's why I'm thinking it may be the phone. From reviews, my t68i is terrible in the reception department.

Reviews of the Sidekick II seem to only say, 'Well, it's better than the previous Sidekick', which really doesn't tell me much. 😉

Guess I'll have to talk the local T-Mobile people into a trial, or else I'm cutting them loose. I'm gettin' tired of paying for service (out of my contract now, too) that doesn't give me reception in my own home.

We have the SK2 and SK-Color at our house. Reception with both is very poor (the signal strength goes in and out while standing perfectly still). Awful reception even outdoors. T-Mobile's customer service claims my neighborhood here in Waukegan, Illinois has "one notch below the very best reception", yet all I can ever get here is one bar at best. Thank God these are not our primary phones.

Forgot to mention above I always had wonderful reception with my prehistoric Primeco Audiovox even after the carrier became U.S. Cellular.
Sometimes I regret giving up that old phone.
