I got the i860 just like all of you have probably
by now and I am not happy with it. Its my own fault though. I knew this stupid button mechanism was going to be poor quality and it is.
I have to say there are going to be alot of people having problems in the future with this button and the phones durabliity. The camera is subpar at best. Screens picture is great but the camera down right sucks compared to those of the sprint and tmobile phones. I don't know, Nextel still rules but I hope the i930 packs a better punch. Oh yah, reception is still not worth a ****.

Compared to the condor series, nextel's new line is a joke. I wish nextel still made quality and reception its highest priorities.

I agree with the original poster, and it isn't just the i860. Its the i730 and i830 as well. Although I miss PTT, I find verizon a much more stable network with better phones. When nextel gets its act together I will again be an iden user..

All Nextel is is glitz and glam. The service is downright HORRIBLE. The phones just pack a bunch of wow with no efficiency. I just fully charged my phone yesterday and ALREADY I have to charge it (about 22 hours ago was my last charge).

I got Nextel because my sister got it a while back and was like "COME ON! Get it so we can 2-way each other." So I got it. What an a$$ I was. It's the worst. I got an i730. I'd rather stay with this than get a newer Nextel phone. Once my contract's over, I'm not renewing nor ever going back.

if service was so "downright horrible" you would have returned the phone and gotten rid of the service within the 15 day policy you didnt, but since you didnt you cant really say its "downright horrible".

what does phones have to do with saying nextel is bad and not efficent? think about it. does nextel provide the service or the phones? come on use common sense. nextel has no say in the phones since motorola owns the patent for iden and no one else can do it. however, when motorola makes it avaiable so that iden works with cdma and nextel gets 1.9 they will start to choose differnt vendors, but till then everyone will get the terrible battery life that motorola provides us. the 14.1 million customers dont complain about the service, sin...

I dont know if anyone knows this but there is a hardware upgrade for the i730. Some i730 phones are real bad so if you have connectivity issues with it, just take it to a service center and they will put this one inch device in youre phone for free. Motorola sent them a memo and hardware but alot of people dont know this. They wont tell you unless you ask. Any new info on the i930? I saw some pics and they were sweet but I also said the same thing about the 1860. Guess we'll have to wait and see. OUT

👿 👿 I really CAN say the service is "downright horrible" because I WANTED to get out of Nextel as SOON AS I activated the phone. But the sales rep said there was nothing I could do about it. If that's the case and I DID have a 15 day trial period, I should look into legal actions I can take. 😈

BTW...

"good luck"

...Thanks, I'm going to Cingular. 🤣
