As far as i know, security/privacy laws state that no matter what setting a phone is on, that if a picture is taken, a sound must be heard. Canadian version, telus model, doesn't give the option to turn the shutter sound off so here's the best i've come up with so far.
1. hold your palm over the speaker.
2. plug in a headset so the shutter sound only plays in your ear.
3. Cough at the same time or something.
Option 2 has works best.
