Not the greatest phone

win

If you ask me, this phone is pretty crap compared to the other video phones out there. The main reason is this, VIDEO CAPTURE is only 15 SECONDS! Whereas other phones can record minutes. Just seems too cheap to me.

Yeah, it is just 15seconds to send over PCS network. It is probably unlimited with the SD card (just like the 5600).

im sorry, but i just dont see how one little thing like only taking a 15 second clip can make a phone suck. if you want a camcorder, go buy one. what hurts the phone a little is that it doesnt come with a mini sd card or usb cable. what i consider to be its main rivals, the 5600 and a800 do come with both. so thats disappointing. other than that, i was very pleased with the phone and its performance other than one or 2 things. the signal strength was better than previouse phones but i think it could have been a little better, id really like to have seen the default ringer from the 5350 on it. (that should become the LGs signature ringer) the one they have is gay sounding and not as peircing from a pocket where its muffled. other than that, i...

15 Seconds is only the default. You can switch the video settings to 200 Seconds if you want to (provided you have the memory). 😁

Is this confirmed? Basicly I'm deciding between the sanyo 5600 and the lg 535. I could care less for readylink. The only thing that attracts me to the 5600 is the longer record time for video. I want a phone that's not a silver flip phone (ugh, 🙄 ) and records longer than 15 secs. if the 535 will record 3 min of video I will gladly be first in line to buy it 😎

i think the whole point is, is that any given phone has only so much local memory. the lg has more than most. the media card you can add (up to 1gig) gives you the memory to take longer video. so it doesnt matter really. compare other features. i dont know of any other phone that does more than 30sec of video w/o help from an external memory card.

I have just bought a 256MB sd card for my Sprint 535, and I cannot figure out how to change the setting on my camcorder to increase the recording time. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Unfortunately, on my sprint mm 535 there's not an option available under camcorder settings to select record time in order to change it to unlimited. Is sprint your carrier?
