OK let's break it down. 5600 vs 535

Both will obviously be MultiMedia capapble. They both will serve as MP3 players and both have a 1.3MP camera with camcorder feature.

5600 Advantages:
1. Larger LCD Display (240x320 vs 176x220)
2. Macro Mode, Multi Shot & Stitch Shot (Panoramic) feature on camera and also allows 30 second video clips vs 15 seconds on the 535
3. Supports both MP3 & AAC Ringtones (535 only supports AAC)
4. 5600 will include a 16MB card, no word yet wether the 535 will include a card.
5. In addition to the card it comes with a MiniSD adapter to make it compatible with SD card readers. Also comes with a USB cable, stereo headphones and will support phone to printer photo printing throught PictBridge enabled printers...

The 5600 is finally on Sanyo's website. This just 2 days after I spoke to a rep from Sanyo/Fisher who told me that they would be posting info on their site soon. She also told me that Sprint is expected to make some sort of a press release or a statement this coming week on their website regarding the 5600. On the website it states that it should be available in mid-March. I am dissapointed since I called a Sprint rep yesterday and they said last week of February but atleast it is not confirmed and final.

Here is the link for the 5600.

unless the customer has no need for either Bluetooth or PTT. And LG's voice dialing IS speaker-independent, and far superior to any other type that I've tried.

There's another advantage/disadvantage that is not mentioned that maybe more important than anything you write to 90% of the people looking at both phones.

That is price. If the MM535 is more than $50 cheaper than the Sanyo's $249 price point, then your comparison is very much moot, because you're comparing apples to oranges.

If Sanyo can pull all this off at the same price point as the MM535, NOW THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING!

Yes price is an important comparison but at the time when I posted the information I had no solid proof regarding the price of either phones so it wouldn't have been fair for me to post unreliable information but now that the 5600 has been released and the 535 has been released through Telus then we can now compare prices. Odd that Telus released the 535 but no info yet on when it will be released from Sprint. There are rumors that they may drop the 535 and just go to the 545 which is EV-DO capable. Not sure. I wonder why phonescoop hasn't put Telus as one of the carriers. It has a picture from the Telus version which by the way has an internal antenna. Interesting.
