Sprint Charges per minute on bluetooth internet =(

Had the phone a few days, dont use the bluetooth very often but when I log onto my account it said 3 minutes casual wireless web charge. I have vision / RL / picture messaging ect...So only think it can be is the #777 number the phone dials. They must have a way to figure out its not internet on your phone but a Modem. Other odd thing is the terms and C say you cant use your phone as a modem..but they set their system to track and charge you. You would think they just make it so you cant do it.
If this isnt a bluetooth modem charge what would it be ?

sounds like oyu do not have vision on your phone. so oyu have what is called casual vision ussage. every time you get on the web it is .01$ per kb.

i strongly recomend you put vision on it is 15$ a month includes unlimited web and 100 text messages as well as unlimited picture mail and 5$ cred for downloads.

text messageing with out a package it .10$ per message

I have vision. Im on it all the time. Ive had vision since aug 02. I have everything you can pay for..and ive never had an extra charge for vision or anything else for that matter..and it just happens that as soon as I get the LG and I do 2.8 megs of downloading on my PDA that this charge comes up. This sucks.

I just got the phone and when I activated it they gave me 2 months of vision for free. They told me without it there is a $0.07 charge per KB. And I do believe you are correct on the txt msgs if I remember what they told me the last time I asked.

I believe that it lists the charge to the right of that if there was any. I assume since it said 3 out of 0 that there was.

Sprint is now offering plans where you can use your phone as a modem.

I saw the option in FAST yesterday.

The prices are the same as the air connection cards

that is correct and if you do not have the phone as a modem option on your plan and you use your phone as a modem it will charge you wireless web mins that is roughly $.40 a min. the reason is when the phone is used as a modem it dials #777 and makes a data call. when vision is used normally it does not do that so it is unlimited.

the best option is to use the phone as a dial upnetwork. that is to have it dial an isp like yahoo or earthlink or something like that. if it does that it is just a phone call

unfortunately the phone as a modem thing is new so very few sprint reps know about the option. vision will not work with useing the phone as a modem because when the phone is used as a modem it dials a #777 number

about the isp i don't think netzero will work because of the nature of it but if you have the dial up preferences yes that would work and only charge you air time

Guys..need help here. I've been reading these forums about using the BT b/w the pm325 and the IPAQ for an internet connection. When my ipaq tells the LG to dial the #777 number (actual number starts off with 915...) it first asks me to enter my username, passoword, and domain name. I assume that the vision username and password are what it's refering to however I gain no connetion. Is there a domain I'm unaware of? I do have vision.
