Dropped call problem...

I’ve had my v265 for about 5 months. For the past month and a half or so I’ve had quite a few dropped calls. Over the course of the day I am on the phone for 2 to 3 hours. I have 3-4 dropped calls a day. (Well, I’m not sure what the official definition for a dropped call is... but the phone just hangs up. The display says ‘call ended’.) Verizon sent me a new phone and it is still having problems. The phone has the current software version and I do use *228 to update regularly.

I just got off the phone with their (verizon) technical support and they told me it is because I am inside my house, car, etc. They said I should expect to have 4-5% of my calls dropped. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this many dropped calls normal? It is ge...

It really depends on where you are. Dropped calls are usually not a phone problem, they're more of a coverage area problem. If you only have the problem in your home you might want to get an outside antenna for your home, like a Yagi. That's probably the best solution.

It's hard to say why it's happening tho. I have the same phone and I rarely drop calls unless I'm out of the good coverage area.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the V265. Belive me when I tell you they're par for the course. The 265 is a piece of ****. Get another phone.
