Sound quality

I did a lot of research and I just bought a V265, based mainly on reviews indicating it has great reception and call quality. Now that I've had it in my hand (and up to my ear) I'm wondering if there's something wrong. I'm kind of dissatisfied with the voice quality. I don't know how I sound to people, but what I hear doesn't sound that good. I'm tempted to see if I can exchange it at Amazon for another model, but I'm wondering if other people have had the same experience.

Also, if you do have experience with other phones, how would you say the sound quality compares to either the V710 or the Vx7000?

Thanks.

The sound quality is actually pretty good relative to other more expensive phones, so you may have a dud. It would be worth returning for that since it's not likely to get any better.

I've been trying to use it more than I ordinarily would in the last few days to test how much I like it, and I think I've come to the conclusion that I had the volume too high. (I noticed it when I was listening to my messages and my wife commented on how loud it was.) Turning it down seems to have improved it.
