Motorola V265 / V266 / V276

I just got the V265 today and overall, I am quite happy with it so far. I'll need to spend some time with it over the next week or so to get a complete opinion on it. The only thing that really bugs me so far is that the Verizon Wireless banner on the phone covers the date. Before the phone was activated, I was playing with it and the date was in the upper left corner. After the sales rep activated the phone to my account, the Verizon Wireless banner replaced the date, with not option in the menu to get rid of it. Does anyone know how, if it is even possible, to remove this banner, or move the date to the lower left corner?
