I have a question on how the heck it works! I have contacted Cingular/Motorola and no body can help me "it's a new phone and they aren't trained on it yet". This is what I am trying to do.
I have the phone numbers entered in the address book and stored on the phone, not sim.
I have associated a voice name with the entry, for instance "HOME" has a voice command speaking the name "HOME".
I am trying to dial the number but no where in any of the documentation does it describe how to get it to dial out.
I am trying to dial with the door closed, looking at the cingular display & time, pushing the right soft key (voice) and then i get a very quiet beep, but nothing shows up in the color display (when it's closed) or does it even dial or attempt to connect to any of the voice names i have stored in my phone.
I have also tried it with the flip open, pushing the same button, but it then will record a memo for as long as i hold the soft key button down/in.
The only way that I can get it to dial the number with the voice is to actually put the phone in the address book entry page, scroll to the name with the voice prompt and then push the softkey and say the name. This seems foolish because it's a longer step to actually dial the number via name then it is to just put it on the address book and push the green send button. So im asking how do you place a voice call using my voice that is already store in my phone under "home" speaking the name "HOME"?
Thanks, all would be grateful!
