I just spoke with a T Mobile representative today and the information he recieved on the phone stated that the phone will have VIDEO CAPTURE on it. Unlike the Cingular version that did not support video capture.

I have heard the rumor around here that we will be getting the RAZR but I have not heard about the video capture...and we haven't gotten a date yet either, though I heard one of the management types say something in the next month.

On the T-Mobile website, the sections for the Razr where it says "Motorola Razr V3 Features" includes a "Video Camera." 🙂

I saw that when I got in today, you're completely right and it's great! 😁 Now if it only had an MP3 Player on it and it would be my next choice... I never execpted it this quickly either.

I just checked on the web site I use at work, it says "video camera." It's possible that this is a goof but I don't think so... 'course I'm not infallible (clearly!) It's not unheard of for a company to make a different version of the same phone for two different provide.

If you go to t-mobile and go to support and look under the v3, it gives you detailed information on how to perform different things on the phone. Capturing and sending video is one of them. It says it only does 8 seconds though.

hmmm...if we follow the link at the bottom here it does list 'video camera' as a feature. I wouldn't hold your breath tho...and even if it does have a vid recorder on it you can bet the quality will be not so hot. And this is comming from someone who had a v3 for about ten months. Now using a audiovox SMT5600...too many damn people have a v3 now and think they are hot **** 🙄 ...anyway, on with the link...

I am almost sure that the RAZR with T-mobile does have video...but if for some reason it does not I can flash it with the software to make it take video...the original silver RAZR did not have video, but when the OEM black RAZR came out which i have it already had video on it because it had the file that i use to flash the older RAZRs with...

Is 8 second video normal? Thats too short. My friend got her V3 today from T-Mobile. I don't like it. Its too thin, and the Moto Menus suck.

Well, it's different strokes for different folks on the thin concept. For people like me, it's great to have a thin phone. As for the video capture, there were a lot of digital cameras that had video capture capability and they only had about 8 seconds of capability as well. So, I don't know that it is normal, but I would say it is common.

I don't think that it is normal compared to other cellphones though

Well, then show us something that will show what is normal. I am just wanting to see what is normal. All I can do is compare relevant technology to see what would be similar. Based on what I know of current relevant technology, 8 seconds sounds about right if all you have is 5MB internal memory. I don't know of a lot of phones running around with large memory stats, so I consider the 8 second recording common for the technology used. What can you tell me about the other phones you are thinking of? This is just a question to you and not meant as an attack on your post, I'm curious. 🙂

I have the V3 for cingular and you can enable the video recording feature in the phone. There's no set limit to the length of video recording. Go to this website to find out more http://www.motox.us/ 😁

I just purchased a silver RAZR from a T-Mobile retail store.

It does have video capture enabled. The limit is 8 seconds on low rez (128x96) and about 3-6 seconds on high rez (176x144), apparently depending on content.

For anyone interested, the Flex version is GSMV3xxTMB01NAOBC. The S/W version is R374_G_0E.40.9ER . The DSP S/W version is 62303000.

Confirmed, all three sets are the same as mine. Hit Main Menu, select Multimedia, select Videos, select[New Video]scrolling down to the bottom (there's only 3 choices) and start shooting! 😎
