V3 Upgrade price

I currently use Cingular when in the US and I have a V600. I have read here from other posters (Cingular employees) that they expect the V3 to sell for $499 with a contract. My question is, what would I have to pay for a V3 when I have an existing 2 year contract?

Price is $644 with no service agreement. But, wait the phone will drop lower.

Thanks. I was actually going to try and wait until after the first of the year for that reason as well as to see how users react to the first generation of this phone. (in this forum and reviews)
