AIM client

Have had this phone for a few days and noticed a few quirks. The one I'm mostly curious about is the AIM client.

I activated the AIM client and signed on with my name, sent & received a few messages, no problem. Later in the evening I noticed that my screen was constantly lit up and would not dim down. After scratching my head for a few minutes, I disconnected from AIM. That was apparently the problem, as the backlight faded like normal.

Have any of you noticed this "feature"?

I haven't noticed that problem myself. I will try it and see. Do you still have the AIM client up on the phone? On mine, if I go back to the main screen, I still stay signed in until I give the command to sign out.

I was still signed in to AIM, but I had gone back to the main (standby) screen. The entire time I was at the standby screen the screen was still backlit.

This doesn't happen for you?

Today I tried this and my screen dimmed, as it should. maybe just a temporary "feature" I ran into. Thanks for your reply.

Interesting. Well, as long as it continues to dim so that your battery life doesn't run down. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have dimmed previously.
