How are signal strength and reception?

I like the feature set on this phone, but would like to know more about how well it can get and hold a signal in difficult areas (such as indoors in office buildings), and how clear the call is in those circumstances. Now that there are more users out there, could some of you please give me the benefit of your experiences. Thank you.

This is a hard question to answer, for ANY phone, because it depends on the construction of the building, what floor you are on, etc.

I have had my KX-1 for 6 months and generally speaking it's reception is excellent. In homes, no problem whatsoever. In stores, it depends how "deep" within the store you are. If you are far, far away from the street, and near machinery, reception sucks. But then that is true with every phone I have had over the past 8 years.

Large office buildings, mostly depends on how close to windows you are.

Generally speaking, reception with the Soho is superior.

i sell verizon in florida and in the past two weeks have had to swap out more kx1s due to lack of good service. and it is not like the customer is swapping out for a more feature rich phone they are going with the lg 3200 and recieving a much better service. so i have started telling reps to no sell this phone in hard to reach areas.

Very surprising. I am in New Hampshire, which has a lot of rural areas, and reception here in those areas has been decent. Also, most user reviews have mentioned good reception.
