Samsung MM-A700 / SPH-A700

Unless you want a noticeable drop in coverage area and increased roaming go with Verizon...I have the v710 and it is good phone with a few drawbacks...make sure you get the transflash card with this phone....

I did the exact same thing you plan on doing except I had the V600 with Cingular. I went with Sprint and A700.

I decided to try both Verizon (710) and Sprint (a700) and cancel one within the 14-15 days. Coverage all depends on where you live and work. Was about a wash during my travel, but Sprint gave me a much stronger signal in my house vs. 1 to 0 bars with Verizon.

Quality wise, the 710 is not in the same league as the a700 (sorry 710 lovers..just my opinion). It's a nice phone...speaker is one of the best and the bluetooth is a nice option. But what killed it for me was the earpiece volume and earpiece sound quality…..Low like the v400 and 600. Sound quality is the most important thing for me in a cell phone.
