are you basing the better signal on the more bars bull crap? cause the amount of bars doesnt mean anything with the a700. In my basement, alltel and verzion drop calls while they have full strenght upstairs, but my a700 holds onto its one bar and gives me crystal clear calls. only thing better about the 7400 is the speaker phone, but the thing is ugly as heck, and i use a headset anyway.
