LG VX-4700 / VX-4650 / AX-4750 / UX-4750
Using the 4650 as a data modem
Does anyone know if this phone can be connected to a laptop via a modem or cable for low-speed e-mail access? I just need to be able to pick up e-mail when I'm out of range of Verizon's National Access areas and can't use my air card.
And can this be done without signing up for a data plan? (I'm presently doing this with my old Nokia 5165 on ATT TDMA--now owned by Cingular.)
