Trip to the Samsung Experience
2 weeks ago I visited the Samsung experience at Columbus Circle in NYC. A working (minus internet setup) i550 was on display. The rep told me to expect the phone by February, and when it does come out, it may be EV-DO compatible. My birthday is in February, so I'll be patient.

Sounds good - I'm committed to wait it out also. Explain EV-DO? (Sorry, I'm still getting up to speed on this stuff...)

BlackGhost - In regards to the rep you spoke with, did he mention the reason why Sprint was holding back on the I-550 was because they wanted to sell all the I-500's first. However you mentioned when it is released it would have EV-DO, how for sure is that? Because another problem Sprint was going to run into was getting a CDMA I-550 and then having it obselete when EV-DO rolls out. If the EV-DO on the I-550 is a sure thing then the Feb. release date may actually occur.
