ok this is dumb but i just have to ask for help, my lady friend was taking a bath and she got some water on the phone, didnt submerge it in the water, just got some on there. now when she talks to people there is this nasty scratchy noise that goes on and off and when cant seem to fix it, now its probly obvious that it is because of the water but i was just wondering if there is anyway to fix it without getting her a new phone. would she be able to get insurance on the phone than turn it over as an insurance claim or something of the sort.any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, jarred

you probably should have dried it with a blow dryer but i feel its probably too late now...if its already ruined...you could try taking apart the phone and finding the problem...maybe its still wet and you could dry it, otherwise im sorry but i think you will have to buy a new phone

ok thanks, one more question than, what about the insurance thing, could she get insurance now and than get a new phone through insurance? or do you have to get the insurance when you first get the phone?

youd need to get insurance when you get the phone...but most insurance doesn't cover f**kups anyway 😉 sorry lol

getting the phone wet, then getting insurance on it, and filing a claim is fraud any way you look at it. It's no better then wrecking your pinto, then calling progressive to insure the bucket. it's fraud and people who commit fraud go to jail sooner or later

Hey Jared

I used to work for a wireless carrier. Although I agree with bigrob...I also know how much it sucks to go wtihout a phone. As long as your wife can answer the phone when they make a test call, you can get insurance. There is a 15 day waiting period for some carriers tho...so do it quick if you can 😉
