I am so mad that I got this phone. I just submitted a review. I can't believe so many gave it a good rating. It sucks!!!!! I never missed so many calls that just "magically" went right to voice mail when I have full signal. I'm in sales, and I really hate this. I miss my LG VX 6000 that I dropped in the toilet. To everyone that gave this phone a 3 or more, bite me!!!!! And I and my girl have used it for 3 months now, so it's not that I am not use to it, it's just a peice of junk!

Insurance claims are not made when there is something defective or anything covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Obviously if there was a problem with the phone you wouldn't be seeing it. Insurance covers loss, theft or customer damaged phones. None of the things people make claims for have much to do with the quality of the phone.

Maybe the people that gave it such agood rating lucked out. They probably got a good batch. Try to exchange for another of the same model. Maybe the performance will be different. I have a great one. That's why I gave it a good review. It could also be that you're probably used to your old VX6000 and the Nokia format just throws things off for you. If all else fails, change your phone to another model or even another brand. Good Luck!

Sounds like you got a bad one, 'cuz mine works great. 😎

And so many gave it a good rating 'cuz it really is good. The LG 6000 ain't half the phone this is.

My mother has the 6256i from Verizon Wireless and loves it a lot more than her old Nokia 3589i. She mainly uses it for making calls. She has taken a picture here & there, but not that much. Since Verizon Wireless has their network well built through most of NW Indiana, her phone doesn't drop calls like my old Motorola 120c & my brother's Motorola V265 do. If the Samsung SCH-a650 were still available, she would have preferred it because it's a basic flip phone, and since I own it, it almost never drops calls on me. But back to this phone, I have tried it myself and it does what it should do, make calls on it and so far, doesn't drop calls. I have yet to try bluetooth (for a VZW phone, this has full bluetooth) & the mp3 player, but I mig...

Yeah, its a damn good phone.

I was thinkin' 'bout switchin' to a RAZR for awhile 'cus a family member actually works for Motorola and can get one for me cheap, but the 6256i has been so sweet that I'm kinda re-thinking that one.

D= Digital, meaning that you're on a digital network.
A= Analog, meaning that you're on an analog tower.

The 6256 is a trimode phone, meaning that it can pick up both digital and analog signals, though generally you don't have to deal with analog unless you're out in the boondocks somewhere..

You shouldn't be dropping calls even with 1 bar, mine works great with 1 bar. Take it in and talk to a service rep.

Ok... I have a question...
I am thinking about buying this phone, I have the Audiovox 8910 right now, and i am never in analog. But if i did get this phone, does anolog means roaming? Since Verizon has No Roaming, do that mean it does not matter?

It all depends on your carriers coverage area. Analog simply means that there is no digital reception where you happen to be. Its just letting you know that it switched frequency. Digital reception is usually more clear than analog.

WOW,What a bitter review! 😲 I've had my VZW Nokia 6256i since Thanksgiving and it has performed exactly as I've come to expect from Nokia phones(ie GREAT).If I agreed with anything you have said it would have to be concerning the actual flip design of the phone itself. It is definitly inferior to,say, Motorola or even LG.But Moto & LG have a lot more experience building "clamshell" phones while Nokia has just started introducing non-bar form designs. As for the 6256i's features, I've barely begun to take advantage of all the multi-media abilities it offers. As for your LG VX6000,it was just finding its way back home. 🤣
