NOT A Durable Phone

Just a shout out to anyone with or considerin' this phone, on any carrier... it ain't durable.

Good friend a'mine has had one for only a little over a year, and its now badly cracked at the part that holds the hinge (not the hinge itself). He didn't drop/abuse it, and the crack is widening/getting worse with normal use. This is the BODY of the phone, so... not reparable. He's soon gonna have to chuck the phone after only a year. ☹️

Good phone in most other ways though. Too bad Nokia didn't build it to last.

Mine is in great condition - no physical damage after 2+ years.

This IS a very durable phone. Have your friend try a Moto or Kyocera and it'll probably turn to dust, in his hands.

Sorry dude, but my friend's 6256 broke, and now, since I made the original post in March, so has MINE. 😢

These are not unique cases either... Google around, and you'll find plenty of folks complaining about their 6256's breaking at or around the hinge. Or you can just check out what other people on this very forum have had to say:

I have had a 6255i from Alltel for over 6 yrs. and I love it. It works just as well as a friends Motorola Razr, if not better. It has quite a few cuts and bruises, but they are all in no way hindering the phone itself. The hinge is cracked, the outer screen has a dent, but is still perfectly readable. It has been a good phone ever since purchased in March of 2003.
