Will any SIM work?

Is the Verizon a840 unlocked? If not is there a way to unlock it so other (non-USA) SIMs can be used overseas?

From my understanding you have to use the Verizon SIM card its a SIM card sold by Verizon its free with the phone if you have to buy one out right its $29.99. Verizon is pretty tight on their SIM cards as well for "security" purposes.
