Hey.. there is already the next gen of UMTS phones scheduled for release in Q4, 04 .
E1000, A1000, C975, V975....
Its just that ATT will probably not take any more since they just do not plan on expanding .. Cingular will probably grab one of the variants of the 4 models above in Q1/Q2 2005 when it comes up with its 3G service in Atlanta and other places.
By the way, all these phones, are much smaller.. V975 is a great looking flip phone.. Moto's first UMTS flip..
