Does anyone know what kind of cord do you need to connect the PM 8200 phone to a computer to trandsfar photos, etc. (Via USB?)

and where do you get this kind of cord?

Thanks

I too am trying to figure this out.

As far as I can tell you can't.

But the phone has some sort of serial port on the bottom of it, but nothing about that is listed any where.

I would just like to be able to back up my phone list, or create it on my PC and transfer it into my Phone.

Has any one connected their phone to their computer?

if you haven't figured this out yet, check the sanyo website, they have a usb data cable. it doesn't come with usb drivers or software.

I looked all over for it too..Finally i found it at a yahoo store for 12.50. It normally goes for $29.99. Its a real good deal because i have the net and i dont really use it on my phone, so i can download the ringtones..etc. and then transfer them onto my phone. Heres the site. http://www.store.yahoo.com/cellular-battery/s anyo-8200-accessories.html

Just go to Radioshack, purchase the futuredial cable for the sanyo 4900. I know this works, I own the 8200, and use that cable. download a program called bitpim. it is a free download. I found it on www.sprintpcsinfo.com, ou have to search for the right version however, it must be ver0.7.18, it is the only one you may use the 8200, also works with any other sanyo phone wich has this connector on it. ie; 4900, 5300, 8100, 7200, 7300, 5400, 5500, 4920, 8200. the drivers are available from futuredial.com, it may take some searching though. this software will allow you to transfer your datebook, and calendar, it even syncs with outlook. it will also transfer wallpapers and ringer in either diretion....photos taken with the camera can only be rem...

Another alternative to purchase a data cable is to
go to www.cellcables.com. This is package deal with cd's that include ringers, wallpapers, etc. It's a pretty good deal over the long haul or if you change out you ringers and wallpapers frequently. Anyway, it's cheaper than paying for Sprint PCS Vision and cost per download from the Sprint home page.

I bought the $12.50 usb cable, installed the driver, bitpim and presto! I'm able to download everything. Pictures, phone numbers etc.

Curious thing about the pictures, they show up under wallpaper in bitpim. I've only used one of them as wallpaper, dunno if that made a difference.
