can i make ringtones for the 8200 with some computer software or something. My friends have been doing it on their nextels by downloading cool edit pro and taking their favorite songs and sending them as real ringtones to their phones.

You can I do it all the time 😁 you have to take the sound file and turn it into a QCP file, then you can use 3gupload or something like that to put it on your phone

this thing helps you to change ringtones, wallpapers, pictures...and it also let you log on Internet anytime anywhere, the best feature is...it also charges your phone! The thing is called Handset Manager data package...really an amazing product with great quality, totally different than those cheap data cables in the market.

The Handset manager sure looks like some great software, however, it is only designed for GSM phones, not the CDMA Sanyo 8200. But there is hope. Datapilot by Susteen has a MIDI ringtone composer built in, and it lets you transfer the ringtone to the handset, it also allows for internet connectivity, and can sync your datebook and contacts with outlook, or with the built in informatin manager. 🙂

Handset Manager does support CDMA phones though...actually, it supports most of the CDMA cellular phones now. MA-8512c is the line for Sanyo, I have one package for my Sanyo PM8200.
Datapolit's software only offer few features, but my MA-8512c of handset manager has up to 8 features, it also charges my phone!
Datapilot is too expensive with less features (US$ 59.00 plus tax), my handset manager MA-8512 only US$ 29.00 plus tax and it has more features! I would like to still tell people to get handset manager since it is cheaper with more features...since handset manager is cheaper with more features, why buy expensive datapilot with less features?

Did you get this error on the site or on your phone? I am able to upload MP3 to 8100.

Maybe you can try again.
