Battery Life

TimmyT

I have had this phone for 8 months now and I think the battery life is awful. If I charge my phone all night long and take it off in the morning, after using no more than 20 minutes, the battery is dead. Sometimes now when I have it plugged into the charger it won't charge. It will charge for a little bit then stop charging. I need a new phone. Can somone tell me whats wrong? Does anyone have this problem or think the battery is awful?

No disrespect Timmy, but you are victim of the common phenomena of the occasional "bad batch" syndrome. I used to work in the PCB manufacturing sector and can tell you from experience that a lot more electronics than you think get bought off by engineers who under a great deal of pressure to approve bad product for assembly. I think you are just one of many people who are experiencing this personally. I'd try another battery just to see if it's the phone or the battery. You could always bring the battery back if it's the phone. Good luck.

also...I have been told by many people that if u leave ur charger plugged into the outlet without your phone connected it can warp your charger and even surge your phone...I would try getting a replacement charger first before you do any of that...because im the lazy kind...I leave the charger plugged in and unplug my phone for the day...and I have had a sprint Sanyo phone (different phones but all Sanyo) for about 3 years...and I had to replace about 4 charger cords...in which all of them were under warranty...I would bring your phone, battery, and charger into a Sprint Store..and have them test all 3...the people who tested my charger found that the charger went bad...so I would do that!!!!!

I HAVE THE 8200 ALSO. I JUST RECENTLY STARTED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING. I DISCOVERED THAT THAT PARTICULAR MODEL HAS A DEFECT IN THE PIN CHARGING PORT. IF YOU TAKE YOUR PHONE TO YOUR LOCAL CARRIER STORE,(SPRINT) THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU A FLAT CHARGER IN EXCHANGE FOR YOUR OLD PIN CHARGER. THATS WHAT I DID AND I HAVENT HAD ANY PROBLEMS OUT OF IT SINCE. MY PHONE WORKS PERFECTLY AGAIN. ANY QUESTIONS JUST EMAIL ME.
