LG6100 Firmware Version 3

The local Verizionwireless store says it can update the firmware on my phone to version 3. Anyone know what version 3 fixes/enhances or breaks?

I got a VX6100 for my wife yesterday, and I, too, have a question about software version. The phone says "S/W Ver T61VZV02" (which is what's on the box after "BIN"). Does this mean I've got Version 2? Should I get Version 3?

On an entirely different subject, I've got 2 Kyocera 2335 phones (which I bought thanks to the good advice I got at phonescoop 🙂 ). The phones are 2-years old, but I think the batteries are shot; fully-charged talk time is 1/2 hour or less. Is my analysis probably correct? If so, where is a good place to buy buy a replacement battery? I've seen a number on online sources that charge about $10 for the battery, plus about $5 for shipping. The pri...

well my old 6100 broke in half and so I got a ne one with firmware on it and the service is better but for some reason whenever someone calls me before it starts to ring some dumb lady comes on and sayes "verizon wireless" then it rings. It is really weird I guess it just adveritsing but I dont know if this has anythign to do with firmware or not
