DROPPED CALLS-UUGGH

I have had the 6100 for several months now. At first, dropped calls were a problem as I had the Motorola T720 for 2 years and NEVER had a dropped call. Much to my surprise, this situation is just getting worse. VERIZON has exchanged the phone once already and will do it again if I choose to, but I know that it is not just a problem with this specific handset.

ALSO, I have had many many times as well where someone calls and my phone never rings. Their voicemail goes right through to my handset though.

I have updated the towers as Verizon told me to and that does not seem to help at all.

Additionally, when I download the tones from VERIZON get it now ( the real singing ringtones) and preview them....they are choppy the fir...

Hi,

I traded in my E815 for the 6100 about 72 hours ago. I have done quite a bit of traveling around Philly and New Jersey while speaking on my phone since then. I haven't had a single dropped call yet. Where are you located??

I understand from reading posts here and elsewhere that the 6100 has weaker receiption than the E815. However, I had the E815 for 2 days and traded it in for the LG 6100 for one reason alone...i could hear my own voice when i was talking on the E815. that is the best way i can describe it. it wasn't necessarily an echo per say, but it was very distracting. it was not a speaker phone or bluetooth issue either; it occured with just plain old regular hand set use. i went back to verizon and called the sales guy from...
