Posted this on the Moto v265 site, but thought it might be useful here as well
------

I had the LG VX6100 for about 15 days, and decided to trade it in for the Moto V265. Luckily Verizon let me extend my trial period since I was having issues with the VX6100. After using my V265 for about 10 days or so I think I will be staying with it. Below is what I found good and bad about both of them:

LG VX 6100
----------
Good:

- Great screen, color and clarity
- Very easy to use - barely cracked the manual
- Driving mode very useful for hands free calling and answering
- Speaker phone pretty good
- Calendar very easy to use
- Pretty nice camera for a phone
- Seemed to be pretty solid
- I believe when using a headset and you clos...

Just thought of another advantage to the V265 - It has a vibrate ring combination which the LG doesn't have. The phone will vibrate for son long then ring for an incoming call. I like this setting so when I am in meetings if a call comes in I can silence the phone, but the phone will still ring when I forget to turn off the vibrate mode.

the 6100 DOES HAVE a vibrate + ring combination. to use this open the phone and using the volume keys on the side turn the volume up until it says "vib & high".

Yes, but it doesn't vibrate for a couple of seconds then ring. It vibrates and rings at the same time (at least mine did).

The vibrate AND THEN ring feature is what I love best, just for the very reason of the meetings. Thanks for the info!!

Now if the 6100 would just have this feature, then I'd be sold!!

Just got back from the VZW store. I tested the v265 and 6100 back-to-back - they let you make free calls on each model. The 6100 had much better sound quality and earpiece volume. When I listened to people on the v265 they sounded like they were underwater. On the 6100 they sounded much more clear and natural. Same deal on their end when they were lisyening to me. The build quality of the v265 is a joke. Felt like a cheap kid's toy.

Anyway my $.02 FWIW. This is as good a test as I can think of as the reception at the stores is typically excellent.
