How do I force CDMA-only on the phone? I'm with Verizon Wireless.

Thanks.

i assume you don't like this thing to keep switching to Analog. you can also try p_rev4 w/c uses the older cdmaOne as opposed to cdma2000 (1x) , your signal might hold better... changing this setting is temporary only. once you switch off/on, setting is back to 'automatic'.

Actually, the phone does not switch back and forth (haven't used it enough to notice/experience). If analog is going to disappear in the next few years, I want to get used to analog-only now and see how good my signal is no matter where I am, which I will be forced to do anyway when analog is formally shut down, or if/when I go GSM.

Actually, what is the difference between CDMA-only and PCS-only? I presume PCS is more feature-packed because it is higher in the chain than CDMA?

Thanks.

CDMA = 800 or 1900MHz Bands

PCS = 1900MHz band only

Along these lines, another option is Cell only. What is Cell only?

Thanks.

Cell Only = 800MHz band only / Analog (AMPs) or Digital (CDMA) Modes
