They are both quality phones and getting great reviews, but I'd give the edge overall to the VX6100 because it has trimode and a speakerphone, and the 670 doesn't.

I've been using the Samsung a670 for almost 4 weeks and it's a great phone overall, but I was waiting for the LG VX6100 to be released. Verizon offered to extend my 15 day exchange to 30. I looked at the VX6100 today and guess what? I walked out of the Verizon store with my Samsung a670. In my opinion, and this is only MY opinion, the LG doesn't come close to the quality construction of Samsung's higher end phones. The a670 is a tank, it feels good in the hand. The VX6100 is a touch longer, but it feels considerably lighter. It also feels very plasticky, just like all the other LG's I've ever seen. So if anyone wanted to know about build quality, which I have asked about in this forum several times over the past 2 weeks and never rec...

I forget sometimes there are these goofy little techno geeks like Kenstee on this site...oops. "First and foremost", please allow me to personally apologize to goofy little techno geek Kenstee for apparently having struck a nerve with him/her and his/her beloved LG VX6100. Now that we have that out of the way, I was merely responding to comments made from another post about the differences between the two phones. I believe comments about the phone's great RF (his opinion) can be found throughout the forum. I have to believe the tin foil and rabbit ears he wears on his head are quite possibly the real reason behind his 6100's great RF capabilities though. And tri-mode is really only needed if you live in the same cave as Kenstee.
