truth

verizon customer in the northeast trying to use the new every 2 on a 6100, just wondering if anyone had more info on the 6100 or its release date/availability, i have heard 10/18 or 10/25 but just curious if it was confirmed

on a separate note i agree with the rest, this is supposed to be a 6100 forum so we can get information on that phone not the 9900 so take it to that forum or just email eachother, it just wastes time adn space for those interested in the 6100

I purchased LG VX6100 on Saturday 10/16 from our local VZW store in San Diego North County. Using the NE2, I paid $49.99 + tax and it came with $50 mail-in rebate. The store manager said that they received 10 units that morning but the stock was down to 2 by late afternoon. They did not even have a display model out on the floor but had accessory kit (charger, hands free headset, and leather case-$50 retail) available for sale. Mobile Office Kit (USB data cable) was not yet available.

ablax2,
The phone does not have a USB port. A USB data cable connects a cell phone's charger jack to your PC's USB port. This enables you to upload/download ringtones, pictures, contacts, calendar, etc. and to access the Internet from your PC. I use this with my laptop when I am on the load and there is no other free connection is available. It appears that USB data cable for the VX-6000 might work on the VX-6100 but I need to do some more research. In addition to a USB data cable, you will need a driver for the cable (I am not sure if one is out for the VX-6100) and software (Future dial, Datapilot, etc.) There are also freeware available for this purpose. I hope I answered your question.

Wrong...

There is freeware available for Cell Phone Data Management...

http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ »

I use this all the time... I have MobilePhone Tools, and SnapSync from FutureDial... and BitPim is better (for data management)
