😁 If anyone is interested in this phone, you can call Verizon at 800-922-0204 to order it. I was considering going to the 8000 model, but might get this phone since it is much cheaper & smaller. Not sure yet though. It's not showing on their website, but the rep said it is $149.99 with a 2-year plan & you get a $50.00 mail-in rebate. That's actually the same price as the 6000 model is on their website! Just wanted to let everyone know they are taking orders!

Another note, the 8000 isn't out yet. I was just compairing it to it. The 8000 comes out either in December or 1st quarter next year according to the 8000 forum.

I don't know if it this information is accurate. I ordered my phone via VZW website before they took it off on Tuesday, and I just got confirmation from Internet sales support that it has been shipped. I check with Fed Ex with the tracking number and it's confirmed that I should received my phone by Monday. I also asked if they know where you can place the order and I was told you will have to call tele sale to get the phone. However, since for some unknown reason they took it off the website, no one will be able to order the phone for you. They did check in their internal system and it indicated it will be launch (again) on the 25th. Their guess was someone accidentally post it on the web before it was supposed to, but they have to honor th...

🙂 Hey, I was offered the 6100 on the phone by a sales rep after asking about the 8000. I don't know any further details. They quoted me the price & said it was available now. Maybe the rep made a mistake, but she said I could order it now. I told her that I wanted the 8000 because I like the LG's, but wanted a speakerphone (which the 6000 & 7000 lacked). She suggested this phone. I'm in East Tennessee.

I didn't look very close to the 8000 as far as if it has a speaker phone. I have the 6100 and I know it has a speaker phone, it fact, it worked really well. The one difference it did stand out for me was the 8000 is a digital only phone, it's also square and boxy. The 6100 phone is a tri-mode phone and a little more stylish. If you don't need a tri-mode phone for analog coverage, and you like the 8000 better, then you may want to get the 8000. In my case, I do need analog coverage since we still have a lot of analog towers left in Missouri and Kansas. (I don't care if FCC said they will need to be converted to digital by end of 2005, since most of these analog towers are in small rural community).

Hmm, the 8000 looks intriguing, neat features, mp3 player, stereo ring tones and I guess a new type of battery, Li Polymer. Who knows when the phone will come though and how much is this thing going to cost. The 6100 sounds really tempting, I have to go see it in person. I've been really happy with my 6000.
