Sony Ericsson S700i

Ok, I've figured out how to use normal mp3's as ringtones, but how do I use jpeg files from my comp and use them for the background. I've tried editing the pics to the right size and my phone knows they're there. The thing is they don't show up anywhere on the phone, even if I put them in the same folder as the other pics. Any advise would be much appreciated.
