It will only happen if SE makes a K700a for the 850 band. The K700i has a 1900 band so yes it is possible for T-mobile to get this one. And i really hope that they do b/c i really want this phone.

Cingular & At&t can't get it because it is not an 850/1900 MHz phone. This phone is compatible with t-mobile because they support 900/1900 MHz phones.

Just an FYI...
I live in the Philadelphia, PA area and have had this phone for several months. Reception is great and I've had no problems.

I have AT&T, and this area is all 1900 for GSM.

The K700 is due to be launched in June 2004, (within Europe) The phone can already be pre-purchased via sites like www.expansys.co.uk (great site for mobile phone purchases and more) has a US version of the site too. Given time, this phone just has to be available from all major carriers.

If it is coming from any provider it will be locked to that provider. That is how you get the subsidized prices on the phones.
