GMAIL set up

I have a z500a w/ cingular. Is it possible to set it up w/ a gmail acct.? If so, then how?

No, this phone does not support pop3 SSL which you need to access your gmail account via pop3.

I could be missing something here, but I did see an encryption option in the email account settings. It refered to SSL/TLS support. Are you sure it doesn't support pop over SSL?
