Do you mean your phone's screens were just a blue color (unable to do anything) or the phone completely turned off (black screen). Because, I went through 3 phones before getting one that didn't get me the blue screen of death.
When the blue screen happened, the only way to power the phone back was to remove the batt. I was still within my 30 day limit, so Cingular just kept replacing the ones that were getting me the blue screen.
