Sony Ericsson z500a vs. Samsung e-715
I am currently a T-mobile customer in Boston,MA. Not the greatest reception but not terrible. My question is, should I stick with T-Mobile and get the Samsung e-715 and sign a 1 year contract or should I switch to Cingular and get the Sony Ericsson z500a (2 year contract)? I am nervous about Cingular due to the terrible reviews I have found online... thanks!!

Cingular gives yo a FULL 30 day NO HASSLE warranty. Hard to beat that. Try them and compare their service to your T Mobile. The REAL "story" is how good the SERVICE is in my opinion. A phone is only as good as the coverage. I just returned my Z500 and went back to my ancient Motorola 60G. But Cingular has vastly imporoved it's service here in San Diego so I'm staying put with them. PLUS, no contract is NICE!
Otherwise, I would switch and try Verizon and the LG 7000. Fickle od fart I am.....

I had the e 715 and went to cingular with the z500 which i have now. I personally like the z500 better. First it ha video, the phone is stronger and lighter, It has a color external display. The plus of the e 715 is that is a little narrower andthere is a flash. The flash part is taken care of by the z500's nightmode. The phone is alot stronger and more durable than the e715 which makes up for its size. The cingular service is also better. Allin all I like the z500 over the e 715 because it is more feature packed.

As far as coverage issues, Cingular will roam off t-mo so you shouldn't see any difference in the coverage. I'm in NC so I can't really tell you how the coverage is there, but Cingular does roam off t-mo. When it comes to the z500...I'm using one right now, and it is one of the coolest lil' phones I've used in a while. 100 bucks is an awesome price to pay for everything this phone does!
