You dont think this phone was presented to the largest CDMA carrier in the US? Why do you think it has AMPS and 800 digital... for sprint? ...
Partly, yes... In case you haven't noticed, Sprint carries more tri-mode phones than Verizon. That's because Sprint is more reliant on roaming coverage than Verizon - especially analog.
Besides, there's more to the world than the U.S. This phone was first announced in Brazil, and will be carried throughout Latin and South America, which is another reason it is tri-mode.
... This phone, like oh so many, simply doesnt cut the mustard when it comes down to the single most important feature... reception. .../blockquote>
What do you base that on? Have you tried this phone, or are you simply biased against Nokia?
If you've actually tried it, you've obviously only tried a prototype, since it hasn't been released yet. It's not fair to judge a phone that isn't even finished yet - especially on something like reception.
If you're just biased, then your opinion must be based on Nokias from two or more years ago, because their newer CDMA phones get nothing but rave reviews - especially for reception.
