Got it and there are a couple of let downs

Many things I love about this phone. Two I don't
are as follows: You can not use the speaker phone when the phone is closed. It goes on when you place the call and then open up the PDA.
That could be useful, however, I still use the speaker while driving, when I'm on hold and opening the phone at that time is awkward.

Secondly, you cannot turn off the PDA - you have to remove the battery. The phone portions turns on and off just fine. But the PDA is always on.
I called Nokia on this and they confirmed that it's just the way the phone works.

Still playing with it - so I'm sure to figure out more in the next few days.

If anyone has suggestions on how to patch these problems - let me know !

Correction - the guy at Nokia told me the PDA couldn't be turned off, when I called back for additional questions, another rep explained the PDA turns off when you close it. Like the light in the refrigerator. It's on when ever it's opened and off when shut!

Actually, my understanding is that the PDA is always on (a la Pocket PC, Palm, and the old Psions [which the communicator is the successor to]). The screen turns off when you close the device, but the PDA is always powered.
